Moved to fire London's integrity commissioner, the office that holds councillors accountable, citing "performance concerns." Committee backed the motion.
Police budget
September 2024
On the $104K PR firm hired to sell the police budget: called it "a fine line between lobbying and communications, but it's a grey area", and said he "would have voted for more police funding regardless."
Taxes

Defended the 7.66% property-tax increase as "largely driven by an increase to the police budget he feels was long overdue."

Co-moved a renoviction motion with Mayor Morgan and Councillor Cuddy after meeting with ACORN. It passed 6-0 in committee. Credit where due.

February 2024
Voted for the unprecedented $672M four-year police budget. Voted against a motion to redirect $8M from police to homelessness support (failed 12-3), and against a separate $867K trim to police vehicles and equipment (failed 8-7). Said he "won't support even putting a motion on the floor" to trim the police budget.
Homelessness
Winter 2024
Voted against extending encampment service depots, and against reducing the buffer zone between encampments and residential property lines.
Where he got it right
2023–2024
Voted for the Mayor's Housing Pledge (47,000 units by 2031) and supported the September 2024 city-wide density rules.

His 2022 campaign financial statement (Form 4) lists $1,200, the legal maximum, from Shmuel Farhi, $1,000 from developer Allan Drewlo, and $500 from SmartCentres founder Mitchell Goldhar of Toronto. At least $2,700, or 12.4% of his over-$100 contributions, traceable to major real-estate developers and landlords.

Voted against the $147M North BRT and against the west BRT: "when I was looking at the dollar value attached, it didn't make sense." In 2024, co-moved for a new BRT route along Western Road serving the university area.
